Transmosis Announces National Cyber Security Scholarship Program

To Award 300 Scholarships worth approximately $1.5 Million

Phoenix,  Arizona, March 21, 2019 – Transmosis, a nationally recognized leader in STEM and Cyber Security workforce development, today announced that 300 applicants nationwide will receive scholarships to subsidize training toward valuable CompTIA A+, Network + and Security + Cyber Security certifications. Each scholarship recipient will receive assistance valued between $3,315 and $5,525, covering 50% to 85% of the total tuition expense. Transmosis, in cooperation with Skillsoft, has created a unique online, live and on-demand training system designed for a wide variety of students, from recent high school graduates to business professionals seeking new careers. Unemployed, veterans, and minorities are encouraged to apply.

We have received countless requests for a program that will fit the schedules of busy people. Students will be able to work at their own pace and complete three of the highest demand Cyber Security certifications in a few short months,” said Chase Norlin, CEO of Transmosis. “This program is revolutionary and supports our company’s long-term vision of workforce development on a nationwide scale.” Transmosis is a nationwide leader in supplying full and partial scholarships to students in the IT industry through state and federal government and private sector grants. Since 2015, Transmosis has facilitated over $30 million in grants deployed to assist students eager to fill high demand IT jobs throughout the United States.

Transmosis has focused on information technology workforce development in Cyber Security due to the increasingly high demand. According to a recent article in Forbes™, “Cybersecurity is very obviously a job sector of the future. Official estimates put job growth in the sector at 37% per year at least through 2022 – and that is probably conservative. At the start of this year, there were an estimated half million cybersecurity jobs unfilled in the U.S alone.” Demand has also driven salaries in the sector up significantly. The Forbes article continued, “Even entry-level pay is about $10,000 better than the nation’s median salary, and those who reach the C suite are getting into the $500,000 range.”

To enhance the scholarship recipients’ experience, Transmosis has partnered with leading IT staffing companies, recruiting firms, and employers to deliver an ongoing source of high quality, certified, Cyber Security talent to great companies.  Previous partners and placements include Google, Apple, HP, CISCO, Facebook, ZYNGA, Switch, Cybrary, Symantec, McKinsey, CompTIA, Hewlett-Packard, XILINX, IGT, and others.  Graduates of the Transmosis Cyber Security programs enjoy excellent job placement opportunities.

Transmosis utilizes a proprietary, patent-pending learning management system (LMS). Students enjoy a rapid learning process utilizing an advanced accelerated retention curriculum that yields a quick understanding of the Cyber Security core competencies and creates a high level of confidence in the student. The Transmosis system has produced a large number of excellent human resources for the industry.
