California ICT Pathways 2015 Update

by GARYPAGE on 02/26/2015

This report provides information on why it is important to California’s economy to teach about Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and computer science in California’s education systems. The information is helpful in designing pathways in areas of California where there is high need to develop an ICT workforce and for linking K-12 instruction with post-secondary education systems. Cities with employers that rely on importing ICT talent through the HIB visa program can consider this an indicator that shows where our educational system should produce more ICT talent.  Schools administrators that offer courses to provide computer science instruction in high school should look to align pathways with colleges that offer the Computer Science Transfer Model Curriculum.
